Here at Ballarat Bird World, we’re lucky to work with an incredible group of birds every day. From our red-tailed black cockatoos to parrots big and small, each one has its own personality, and we know them all pretty well.

Many of our birds love people. Some enjoy a good chat, some like to show off, and others are happiest just sitting nearby and watching what’s going on. You’ll often hear talking, laughing, and plenty of bird chatter as you walk through the aviaries.

We also have lots of local lorikeets, always on the move and filling the space with colour and sound. They might be small, but they add so much life to the place.

Our birds are friendly, well cared for, and comfortable around visitors. We encourage people to take their time, ask questions, and really enjoy being close to the birds. For us, Ballarat Bird World isn’t just somewhere to visit — it’s where we care for the birds every day, and we’re always happy to share that with others.
